As we start to feel the warmth of spring, I have seen a jump in the number of people outside, enjoying our neighborhoods —  biking, walking and rollerblading through the community.

We are so fortunate to have an amazing and accessible trail network that brings our community together. This trail network is maintained in part, by Friends of Northampton Trails. I want to thank them for their tireless work in advocating for trail repairs, improvements and expansions around the Northampton area. Without this advocacy, our trails would continue to deteriorate, becoming unsafe and unusable for the many people that use them daily for transportation, commuting and recreation.

Friends of Northampton Trails is a membership organization, allowing you to contribute to the improvement of our trails. If you want safe, accessible, and more connected ways to get around our community, I hope you will consider becoming a member  this spring during the Friends of Northampton Trails membership drive, and I look forward to seeing you on the trail!
