BAD MOMS: When three overworked and under-appreciated moms are pushed beyond their limits, they ditch their conventional responsibilities for a jolt of long-overdue freedom and fun. Stars Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn, Kristen Bell. Rated R.

DON’T BREATHE: A group of friends break into the house of a wealthy blind man, thinking they’ll get away with the perfect heist. They’re wrong. Stars Stephen Lang, Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette. Rated R.

DON’T THINK TWICE: When a member of a popular New York City improv troupe gets a huge break, the rest of the group — all best friends — start to realize that not everyone is going to make it after all. Stars Keegan-Michael Key, Gillian Jacobs, Mike Birbiglia. Rated R.

HELL OR HIGH WATER: A divorced dad and his ex-con brother resort to a desperate scheme in order to save their family’s farm in West Texas. Stars Dale Dickey, Ben Foster, Chris Pine. Rated R.

INDIGNATION: In 1951, Marcus (Logan Lerman), a working-class Jewish student from New Jersey, attends a small Ohio college, where he struggles with sexual repression and cultural disaffection, amid the ongoing Korean War. Also stars Sarah Gadon, Tracy Letts. Rated R.

JASON BOURNE: The most dangerous former operative of the CIA (Matt Damon) is drawn out of hiding to uncover hidden truths about his past. Also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander. Rated PG-13.

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS: A young boy named Kubo (the voice of Art Parkinson) must locate a magical suit of armor worn by his late father in order to defeat a vengeful spirit from the past. Also stars the voices of Charlize Theron, Ralph Fiennes, Matthew McConaughey, Rooney Mara, Brenda Vaccaro, George Takei. Rated PG.

THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS: A lighthouse keeper and his wife living off the coast of western Australia raise a baby they rescue from an adrift rowboat. Stars Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Rachel Weisz. Rated PG-13.

LITTLE MEN: A new pair of best friends have their bond tested by their parents’ battle over the lease for a dress shop. Stars Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Ehle, Paulina García. Rated PG.

MECHANIC: RESURRECTION: Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) thinks he has put his murderous past behind him, until his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Also stars Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones. Rated R.

MISS SHARON JONES! This documentary follows soul singer Sharon Jones after she is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and as she remains determined to regain her explosive singing career. Not rated.

MORGAN: A corporate risk-management consultant (Kate Mara) must decide whether or not to terminate an artificially created humanoid being (Anya Taylor-Joy) Also stars Rose Leslie, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Paul Giamatti. Rated R.

SAUSAGE PARTY: A sausage strives to discover the truth about his existence. Stars the voices of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill. Rated R.

THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS: A terrier named Max (the voice of Louis C.K.) regularly invites his friends to hang out at his place while his owner is gone, but his quiet life is upended when said owner also takes in Duke (the voice of Eric Stonestreet), a stray mutt whom Max instantly dislikes. Also stars the voices of Kevin Hart, Albert Brooks, Dana Carvey. Rated PG.

SOUTHSIDE WITH YOU: In the summer of 1989, on Chicago’s South Side, Barack Obama (Parker Sawyers) woos a young woman named Michelle Robinson (Tika Sumpter). Also stars Taylar Fondren. Rated PG-13.

SUICIDE SQUAD: A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. Stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie. Rated PG-13.

WAR DOGS: Based on the true story of two young men, David Packouz (Miles Teller) and Efraim Diveroli (Jonah Hill), who won a $300 million contract from the Pentagon to arm America’s allies in Afghanistan. Also stars Steve Lantz. Rated R.
