James B. Scott: Natural disasters

Published: 7/8/2021 9:55:13 AM

Go back 10 years to 2011. We saw our first year of unprecedented natural disasters — most notably the massive earthquakes that saw a 10-meter tsunami to hit Japan. Ten years later in 2021, we now see major natural disasters happening around the world almost every month, from droughts, to intense wildfires, and unpredictable weather that some areas are unequipped to deal with.

Massachusetts needs to do its part to help us pull the world back under control by ensuring the 100% Clean Act gets passed, which would help to restore the world to a more manageable place in the next 10 years instead of leaving it up to fate in a place of no return.

Leave the world a hopeful place for the future.
