Beth Wilson: ‘Get over yourselves’ and follow orders

I can’t wait to go to the movies. I can’t wait to sit in a restaurant and slowly sip on a sangria margarita. I can’t wait ... you get the gist.

But for those who think the stay at home order, social distancing, and mask wearing break their constitutional rights, get over yourself. If you choose to take these chances and consciously spread COVID-19, you should be arrested for attempted murder.

If you become ill, especially if you become seriously ill, stay home and die. I am a medical caregiver, so this is stated tongue in cheek. But why should I help someone who consciously endangers my health and that of my family?

To take care of someone that is ill and possibly contagious is something we accept and rarely consider the ramifications to ourselves. When a sick kid comes in, you say a little prayer in your mind: “God, please don’t let me get this.” But that is the last time you consider it because your whole focus is trying to figure out what is wrong and facilitate that person getting answers, hopefully getting better. Alleviate pain and distress is any caregivers main drive.

It is a scary time, but think before you endanger yourself, your loved ones and me Common sense, people. We all want this to end as soon as possible.
