Grabowski big in Williston baseball win

Kyle Grabowski drove in the go ahead run with a two-out single to left in the fourth inning, and the Williston Northampton baseball team beat Wilbraham and Monson 2-1 on Saturday.

He also picked up the save.

Jerry Landman got the win, allowing just four hits in 6⅓ innings.

Matt Pimental added two hits and an RBI.

Cal Messina doubled and added six put outs in center field.

Ryan Dwyer and Northampton’s Nick Heafey played plus defense.

Boys golf

Kingswood Oxford 188, Loomis 200, Choate 203, Williston 210 — Cam Mariani shot a 40 to win Williston’s medalist honors. Jake Sacratini and Jack Fay each shot a 41 for the Wildcats.

Girls golf

Choate 5, Williston 0 — Mariel Sutinen had a 45 to lead the Wildcats at Southampton Country Club.

Boys lacrosse

Williston 17, Canterbury 5 — Lucas Boyd had his first assist of the year for the Wildcats and picked up three ground balls.

Girls lacrosse

Williston 14, Choate 4 — Shayla Heekin scored six goals for the Wildcats, while Rachel Burke had four goals and two assists. Cambpell Nyarady added a goal and an assist.

Emma Gentile and Claudia Capone each scored a goal, while Kate Holmes and Mara Holden each distributed an assist.

Christina Vote stopped 13 shots. Kate McDermott, Emily Whipple (Easthampton), Nancy Harrington and Maddy Cardaci played strong team defense.

Boys tennis

Avon 4, Williston 3 — Amhersts Kenny Wang won at No. 1 singles, while Ethan Dursht (No. 3 singles) and Joey Robbins (No. 4 singles) also picked up victories.

The Wildcats lost the doubles point 2-1.

Girls tennis

Northfield Mount Hermon 5, Williston 4 — Julia Farnham won at No. 1 singles. Praghya Athavan Raja captured the No. 3 singles victory, and Katie Han won at No. 4 singles.

Farnham and Raja also won their doubles match.

Boys track & field

Williston 83, Westminster 67, Hopkins School 28

Girls track & field

Williston 81, Westminster 65, Hopkins School 53, Miss Porters 45

Boys ultimate

Four Rivers Tournament — Alex Hall-Witt was involved in 18 of Williston’s 30 goals, throwing nine and scoring nine himself. David Li scored twice and threw one goal. Aaron Hammer had two goals.

Williston beat MacDuffie 13-4 but lost 13-5 against Amherst JVB, 13-4 against Andover and Putney 13-8.

Girls ultimate

Four Rivers Tournament — The Wildcats went 2-2.
