Will Sawyer Ks 10 in first Williston baseball win

Will Sawyer struck out 10 and allowed just two hits to earn his first career win, and the Williston Northampton baseball team beat Northfield Mount Hermon 4-3 on Tuesday.

Nick Barber (RBI) and Robby Hill had two hits each.

Ray Toth earned the save.

Girls golf

Williston 5 Miss Hall’s 0; Loomis 5 Williston 0 — Sarah Sullivan shot a 44 and was the Wildcats’ medalist at Southampton Country Club.

Boys golf

Deerfield 200, Westminster 203, Williston 207 — Owen Randolph earned the Wildcats medalist honors with a 38. Cam Mariana and Jake Sacratini each shot 41s.

Boys lacrosse

Westminster 10, Williston 5 — Joey Ford scored four goals for the Wildcats.

Girls lacrosse

Williston 18, Gunnery 7 — Emily Whipple (Easthampton), Louisa Coughlin (Amherst) and Teaghan Hall each found the net for the Wildcats. Maddy Cardaci and Megan Ward (Easthampton) each had an assist.

The Wildcats will host Worcester Academy in the first round of the NEPSAC Class B tournament at 5 p.m. Thursday.


Williston 16, Stoneleigh Burnham 0 — Jersey Strum and Sydni Landman combined to throw a perfect game for the Wildcats.

Girls tennis

Berkshire 7, Williston 2 — Praghya Athavan Raja won at No. 1 singles, and Katie Han prevailed at No. 3 singles for the Wildcats.
