Whately CPC to discuss library, Veterans’ Memorial Park projects

WHATELY — The Community Preservation Committee will hold a public meeting Wednesday to review the projects recommended for Community Preservation Act funding that will come before voters at the annual Town Meeting on June 15.

The remote meeting will start at 5 p.m. via Zoom, which can be accessed at bit.ly/3euHb5I.

According to the Community Preservation Committee, the projects being recommended include $75,000 for a library accessibility project that would involve installing a lift and creating an accessible restroom, among other improvements; and $21,000 for a Veterans’ Memorial Park project that would include rehabilitating the park with new plantings, a low stone wall, granite benches and additional stones to commemorate veterans of other wars.
