Comerford to hold virtual town hall Tuesday night

NORTHAMPTON – State Sen. Jo Comerford will hold a 90-minute virtual town hall on Tuesday night for constituents in the Hampshire, Franklin, Worcester District.

The Northampton Democrat said the event, which begins at 5 p.m. via Zoom, will feature slideshows and presentations about her team’s work over the 2019-2020 legislative session, followed by a live question and answer period.

“This town hall will be a chance for us to reflect on some of what we’ve accomplished and where we hope to do even stronger work in the next session,” Comerford said in a statement.

Registration is required to attend the event at The town hall will be closed caption in English and Spanish with participation available by phone or video and be recorded and available online for those unable to attend. Spanish-language interpretation also will be available during the evening.

Comerford was elected to her second Senate term in November. Her team includes District Director Elena Cohen, Director of Constituent Engagement Sam Hopper, Legislative Aide Cameron Lease, Legislative Director Brian Rosman, and Chief of Staff Jared Freedman.

Comerford said her team plans to follow up with another town hall in February to report on bills filed in the 2021-2022 legislative session.
