Andikan Ntia-James leads Williston at EIL Wrestling Championships

Andikan Ntia-James placed first in the 285-pound class to lead the Williston Northampton wrestling team at the Eastern Independent League Championships, Saturday at Lexington Christian Academy, Lexington.

William Gunn was second at 170, while Max Livingston was runner-up at 195.

Kevin O’Sullivan (182) and Jackson Strout (220) each placed third for Williston, which finished seventh overall.

Girls Basketball

Williston 55, Pomfret 45 — Sarah Sullivan and Jordyn Meunier each had 18 points, while Marielle McEnaney added nine points for the Wildcats, Saturday at home.

Boys Basketball

Williston 74, Andover 71 — Garrett Sullivan had 17 points, Josh McGettigan added 16, and Filip Rebraca, Duncan LeXander and Mike Manley each had 11 as the Wildcats (15-4) won on Saturday.

Girls Hockey

Andover 0, Williston 0 — Goaltender Tayah Sommer earned the shutout for the Wildcats Saturday.

Boys Hockey

Millbrook 4, Williston 3 — Brenden Hansen, David Novotny and Cam Mariani each scored, but the Wildcats fell on Saturday.

Girls Swimming

Williston 97, Suffield 89 — Sydney Joyce won the 500-yard freestyle and broke the 21-year-old school record for the undefeated Wildcats, Saturday.

Boys Swimming

Suffield 91, Williston 71 — Sam Haddad won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke, but the Wildcats lost on Saturday.

Girls Squash

Ethel Walker 6, Williston 1; Suffield 4, Williston 3 — Fuka Iwama had two wins for the Wildcats, while Louisa Weed and Brooke Smith earned wins against Suffield, Saturday.

Boys Squash

Millbrook 6, Williston 1 — Tyler Senecal (South Hadley) won his match in five sets for the Wildcats, Saturday.
