Wednesday’s high schools: Easthampton spikes Sabis

Samantha Sypek dished out seven aces and nine digs as the Easthampton girls volleyball team spiked Sabis, 3-0, at home Wednesday.

Easthampton won 25-21, 25-5, 25-15.

Sierra Raskevitz added six aces and five digs for the Eagles (5-1, 4-0 Southern).

Anna Stabile led Easthampton with seven kills and also had two aces.

Autumn Pinard chipped in 15 assists, while Michelle McDermott had four kills.

South Hadley 3, Chicopee 0 — Kiana Turner led the Tigers with 13 digs, seven aces and eight kills in the 25-19, 25-21, 25-17 win.

Nicole Niemiec had eight digs and three aces, while Aislinn Ford added six digs and three aces.

Natalie Patruno dished out 10 assists for the Tigers (3-2, 2-1 Southern).

Girls soccer

Easthampton 1, Athol 0 — Frances Powers scored in the 25th minute and that was the difference in a road win for the Eagles (3-4).

Lily Pioli made three saves in net for Easthampton.

Field hockey

Belchertown 1, Athol 1 — Kaleigh Cooper scored for the Orioles, assisted by Fionna Murphy in a road tie.

Kiersten Laramme made three saves for the Orioles (1-3-1, 0-0-1 Tri County)
