NORTHAMPTON — If your Halloween costume doesn’t already incorporate an umbrella or rain jacket, a look at this Thursday’s weather might prompt a last-minute creative fix.
Temperatures are expected to fall in the low 60s in the early evening of Oct. 31, but rain showers will accompany the uncharacteristically warm weather throughout the day, said Bill Simpson, spokesperson for the National Weather Service in Boston.
“Definitely plan on showers for the trick-or-treaters,” Simpson said.
The rainy weather is part of an easterly flow of heavy moisture causing clouds over much of the state that’s anticipated to last the entire week, Simpson said.
“We’re in a scenario for the next couple of days where we’re not going to see the sun until Friday,” Simpson said.
