NORTHAMPTON —  The sunny Sunday weather may quickly fade away come Monday. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of western and Central Massachusetts, including Hampshire, Franklin and Hampden Counties.

“Right now, we have a risk of severe thunderstorms, strong damaging winds and or hail. We could see some hail,’’ said Alan Dunham, Meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Norton.

The National Weather Service warns there may be strong or severe thunderstorms on Monday afternoon and evening, Dunham said the risk is between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. There is also a low chance of a tornado, according to the National Weather Service.
