Jo Ellen Warner: Abortion rights column on the mark

I was heartened to read Jenifer McKenna’s May 14 guest column, “Abortion rights and corona.”

It stands us all in the shoes of pregnant women forced to travel during a deadly pandemic to abort a pregnancy that has already medically failed. It puts us behind the wheel with young women who must defy stay-at-home orders to access abortion.

If we think about any of this for two seconds, we should glower from the barbarism and inhumanity of denying women who are desperately seeking an abortion at any age.

Supporting the Roe Act not only proactively protects and expands reproductive freedom, but it is also a compassionate and humane necessity in these treacherous times, for all of us.
