Wedding: Maya & Andrew Lavender

Maya Wiley and Andrew Lavender, both of Amherst, were married June 9 at Mount Pollux in Amherst by Rabbi Ari Rosenberg.

Maya, 30, is the daughter of Patricia Romney and Paul Wiley of Amherst. She is a 2005 graduate of Amherst Regional High School; a 2015 graduate of Holyoke Community College in Holyoke, and will be graduating in 2020 from University Without Walls at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a receptionist at University Health Services at UMass Amherst.

Andrew, 29, is the son of Pamela Lavender of New Milford, Connecticut, and Wayne Lavender of North Haven, Connecticut. He is a 2007 graduate of New Milford High School in New Milford, Connecticut; a 2013 graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, and will be graduating in 2021 from Western New England Law School in Springfield. He is an assistant manager at Spirit Haus in Amherst.

Nieces of the bride, Soraya Ross-Wiley and Eva Alejandrina Rosa, served as flower girls.

The bride’s father, Paul Wiley, and the groom’s grandfather, Arthur Heyman, served as ring bearers.

A reception was held at the bride’s parents home in Amherst, catered by Black Sheep Deli of Amherst.
