The UMass women’s basketball team got even deeper over the past week.

Dallas Pierce, currently a high school junior in Delaware, tweeted her commitment to the Minutewomen’s basketball program on April 13. Per her Twitter account, she’d received multiple offers from other Division I schools, including Atlantic 10 Conference rivals like VCU, La Salle and Saint Joseph’s.

The 5-foot-9 combo guard is a product of the Lady Sharks, the same AAU program that current UMass forward Ber’Nyah Mayo came from. She is also part of the Sanford High School (Del.) basketball program that lost the state championship to Caravel Academy, finishing with a record of 17-2 in the 2021-22 season. She has one more year of high school basketball before she would join the Minutewomen for the 2023-24 season.
