There wasn’t any suspense for the UMass men’s soccer team when the Minutemen gathered to watch the NCAA tournament bracket reveal show that was broadcast on Twitter.

They knew their name would be called. Winning the Atlantic 10 Tournament and it’s automatic bid to the field of 48 assured them of that. It was just, the who, where and when still to be determined.

The anticipation was paid off not long into the selection show. UMass will host Colgate at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Rudd Field. The winner will travel to Ann Arbor to face No. 13 overall-seed Michigan Sunday.

The Minutemen and Red Raiders have already played once this season with UMass winning, 2-1, to start an 11-game unbeaten streak (9-0-2).

Colgate (10-10-1) beat Holy Cross 1-0 to win the Patriot League championship and automatic bid.

Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for children and $3 for students.
