Tuesday’s colleges: Amherst field hockey blanks Keene State

The Amherst College field hockey team stayed unbeaten after a 4-0 win over Keene State at home Tuesday.

Shannon Tierney scored twice while Anna Agathis and Mary Grace Cronin also scored.

Emery Sorvino assisted on two of Amherst’s goals.

In net, Emilie Flamme made three saves to notch the shutout for the Mammoths (3-0).

Men’s soccer

Dartmouth 1, UMass 0 — Bardia Sefnia made two saves in a road loss for the Minutemen (3-2-1).

Women’s soccer

Western New England 1, Mount Holyoke 0 — Amanda Manaster made 10 saves for the Lyons (2-3) in a road loss.

Alicia Frappier of Granby assisted on Western New England’s goal.

Women’s volleyball

Wheaton 3, Mount Holyoke 0 — Sasha Simine had four kills but the Lyons (4-2, 0-1) were swept, 16-25, 12-25 and 21-25 on the road in their NEWMAC opener.

Sarah Caggiano added nine digs for Mount Holyoke.

Smith College 3, Bay Path 0 — Setter Maca Rojas reached 1,000 career assists in the 25-17, 25-16, 25-18 road win for the Pioneers (5-2).

Rojas is the 11th player in school history to reach the milestone. She had 38 assists in the match.
