Thursday’s colleges: Smith soccer shuts out UMass Dartmouth

Krissy Williams scored in the second half to help the Smith College soccer team beat UMass Dartmouth, 1-0, at home on Thursday.

Keeper Shelby Hall made a late save on a penalty kick to help preserve the win for the Pioneers (1-0).

Amherst 10, Mount Holyoke 0 — Hannah Guzzi, Grace Orr and Natalie Landau each scored twice as the Mammoths (2-0) cruised on the road.

Field hockey

Amherst College 3, Mount Holyoke 2 — Elizabeth Turnball scored twice, while Kendall Codey added one goal as the Mammoths (1-0) won one the road.

Laura Schwartzman had three assists.

Liz Delorme and Kaitlin Braz scored for the Lyons (1-1), while Anna Ballou and Mirjam Keochakian each had one assist.

Trinity 5, Smith College 0 — Cameo Tietje made four saves in a road loss for the Pioneers (1-2).
