HOLYOKE — Three Holyoke residents were arrested on charges of trafficking heroin and cocaine in a Thursday incident on Pleasant Street that yielded more than 34,000 bags of heroin, according to the Hampden district attorney's office.

Sebastian Rosario, 23, Francisco Torres, 30, and Nashalee Arocho, 21, are all facing charges of trafficking heroin, over 200 grams and trafficking cocaine, over 200 grams, after their arrest following an intensive investigation into narcotics trafficking from 392 Pleasant St. by the Hampden County Narcotics Task Force

“I thank the members of my office’s Narcotics Task Force, along with our partner agencies, for their hard work and skill in this investigation and the execution of search warrants leading to the arrest of these suspects.” said Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni. "We will continue to fight the battle against opiates and addiction by arresting those who wish to profit from this disease. But, if we as a community are going to win this fight, these individuals must be held to account for their role in supporting the addiction epidemic our community faces.”

Detectives initiated a traffic stop at the location and placed Torres into custody, with a search of his vehicle yielding 100 bags of heroin and 9.4 grams of suspected cocaine.

At the same time, investigators executed a search warrant for 392 Pleasant St. that produced 34,150 individually packaged bags of heroin, amounting to approximately 844 grams, $32,645 in cash and approximately 258 grams of suspected cocaine.

Rosario and Arocho were arrested at that time.

Assisting in the execution of the search warrants were the Hampden District Attorney SAFE Unit, Western Mass Gang Unit, Holyoke Police Department, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, Massachusetts State Police’s Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement and Special Tactical Operations Teams.
