Gail P. Stahlberg: Thanks for giving

In 2018, the Trees of Love and Thanksgiving fundraising campaign celebrated its 20th year. During this time, the initiative has raised over $300,000 and supported numerous programs critical to Cooley Dickinson, your community hospital.

The Childbirth Center, constructed over 20 years ago, is in dire need of renovations and upgrades. This became the goal of the 2018 campaign. Because of the generosity of so many, we were able to honor our pledge of $10,000 to support the Childbirth Center.

In addition, funds have been designated toward the purchase of 10 car beds, which are critical to the transport home of underweight babies.

I appreciate the numerous community members who made contributions in the names of loved ones. Be sure to walk through the Healing Garden at CDH and know that there is a light shining brightly, specifically for someone you treasure. I am also indebted to the many staff of various departments in the hospital who lent their assistance as well as the volunteers and committee members who contributed countless hours to ensure the success of this project. I am deeply grateful to each and everyone involved!
