Photo: Smith Voc’s horticultural building rises from the ashes

Employees from Beacon Building  unload  insulation for the new horticultural building being constructed at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School in Northampton. The new $7 million, 8,000-square-foot structure is replacing the previous horticulture building that burned down in May 2022. It has a wooden frame made out of local wood to highlight native tree species throughout the region. The building is expected to be complete this summer.
