Aidan Pike struck out 10 and threw a no-hitter Thursday that put the Smith Vocational baseball team into the postseason.

The Vikings baseball team defeated Duggan Academy 17-0 on Thursday in Springfield to qualify for the tournament.

Pike’s three baserunners all came on walks, as the Vikings (9-7) didn’t commit any errors.

He had plenty of run support, as Smith Vocational scored in every inning except the first, and Pike hit a double on a 2-for-4 day with two RBIs.

Dylan Fil led the way with four hits and four RBIs, smacking a triple.

Dana Kellogg (two hits) and Jack O’Connell (three hits) each drove in three runs.

Jaxson Venne had three hits and two RBIs, while Zack Hall and Tucker Scott each hit RBI singles.

Burt Ahart doubled.
