Marianne Preger-Simon: Senators should give up pay until relief deal reached

Since the Senate is unable and unwilling to come to an agreement about helping unemployed folks, I suggest that all senators be required to turn their salary over to assist the unemployed until they come to an agreement on this bill they’re ignoring.

It won’t solve the needs of the unemployed, but it will help, and above all, it will incentivize the senators to leave their vacation and come back to solve the country’s problems. I do think that’s why they were elected.
