NORTHAMPTON – Local author and illustrator Mo Willems delighted second graders at Jackson Street School on Friday with a humorous presentation about his work, his process and his next project interspersed with readings from two books in his “Elephant Gerald and Piggie” series. He then took several questions from the students – written in advance – before leading a book cart parade around the school’s John M. Buteau Library. Afterward each child got to take home a complimentary copy selected from the series.
