Describes Sabadosa’s dedication and compassion

I have never been one to become immersed in local politics. Of course I vote in all elections, federal, state and local.

However, after the 2016 presidential election, the process had become mundane, tedious and ritualistic. There have been very few candidates that I feel exemplify what it really means to be a politician, that is, until recently.

It all began when I stumbled upon a podcast featuring Lindsay Sabadosa. I must admit, I was interested in hearing more from and about her. I began following Sabadosa on Facebook and reading articles about her. I also listened intently to local radio shows to hear her views on education, social inequality, affordable housing, racism and protecting the rights of the LGBTQ community.

It became very obvious to me that Sabadosa was special. After finding out all that I could about her campaign, I decided that not only would I support her, I would also campaign for her. Once I met Sabadosa in person, I was even more impressed. She is progressive, pleasant, intelligent, driven, inspiring, approachable, passionate and full of energy.

Sabadosa’s dedication to her community and her compassion for people are qualities all political candidates should possess. Her vision, beliefs and message resonate deeply with me. She is an advocate for women’s rights, the environment, affordable health care and safe communities, to name a few.

On Sept. 4, I will proudly cast my vote for a fighter such as Lindsay Sabadosa for state representative, 1st Hampshire District. It is my hope that others will support her as well.
