Legal Ad Guidelines

If you have been instructed to publish a notice in the Daily Hampshire Gazette or Amherst Bulletin, you're in the right place! Simply email your notice to legals@gazettenet.com for either paper. Here are some guidelines:

  1. If you have an Informal Probate Notice, a name change, a guardianship or custody-related notice, you can scan and send the filled-out form as an attachment. You can even snap a photo of it and send it to legals@gazettenet.com
  2. If you have a public hearing notice, or a notice about an upcoming public meeting for which you are responsible, those notices MUST be TYPED UP and sent in the body of the email.
  3. We appreciate at least 3 days' lead time to publish legal notices. Deadlines are firm and as follows:

    RUN DAY * DEADLINE*
    Monday Friday at 9am
    Tuesday Friday at 4pm
    Wednesday Monday at 9am
    Thursday Tuesday at 9am
    Friday Wednesday at 9am
    Saturday Thursday at 9am

  4. Please send your preferred run date in the body of the email.
  5. We will get back to you within two business days with a proof of the notice and the price. Legal notices can be paid with a credit card over the phone.
  6. Legal notices are costly. If you qualify for any state or federal assistance programs, we encourage you to check with the court to see if you qualify for a waiver. If you do, send a copy/photo of the waiver along with your legal notice to legals@gazettenet.com
  7. We will send you a proof of the notice so you may correct any errors. The Gazette is not responsible for legal notices that run with errors after the proof has been approved.

Thank you for placing your notices with the Daily Hampshire Gazette and Amherst Bulletin!
