Prep schools: Annika Johnson clutch for Williston girls golf team

Annika Johnson, of Northampton, won the last three holes to win her No. 5 match against Taft 2&1, and give the Williston Northampton girls golf team a 3-2 win, Saturday at Watertown Golf Club.

Williston also beat Westminster, 4-1.

Mariel Sutinen was medalist for the Wildcats with a 43.

Baseball

Williston 4, Canterbury 0 — Aidan Burke struck out six in the complete-game four-hit shutout, Saturday. Kyle Grabowski was 2-for-3 with an RBI triple. Will Sawyer (two hits) and Matt Pimental each had RBI doubles.

Girls lacrosse

Williston 15, Berkshire 4 — Rachel Burk led the Wildcats with four goals, while Campbell Nyarady (assist), Shayla Heekin (two assists) and Emma Gentile (four assists) each had three goals.

Claudia Capone scored twice, while Maura Holden added three assists. Christina Vote finished with 12 saves.

Boys tennis

Williston 6, Millsbrook 1 — Kenny Wang (Amherst) won at first singles, while Nikhil Sierros (Florence) and Luke Po (Florence) had wins at second and fifth singles, respectively, for the Wildcats (3-1), Saturday.

Girls tennis

Williston 9, Cushing 0 — Julia Farnham (Amherst), Praghya Raja, Kate Quimby, Sonia Whitman, Hana Tsukamoto and Katie Han each won their singles matches for the host Wildcats, Saturday.

Boys golf

Avon 183, Williston 195, Loomis 197 — Tyler Senecal and Jake Sacratini each shot 37 to pace the Wildcats (4-2) in their split, Saturday.

Girls water polo

Williston 9, Deerfield 8; Sacred Heart 10, Williston 9 — Ella Maddox scored 10 goals, Abbie Coscia added eight and Dylan Fulcher Melendy finished with over 30 saves as the Wildcats split on Saturday.
