AMHERST – After the mall in Holyoke was closed down to help stem the spread of the coronavirus, Alysha Pabon of Amherst couldn’t have her eyebrows threaded at her usual place. So she found a video and learned how to thread her own eyebrows. On a visit to Sweetser Park with her mother, Rosa Sostre, on Thursday, Pabon plied her new-found skills on her brother Yahve Pabon who remarked that, though it didn’t hurt, it did make his eyes water. Alysha says she manages with a piece of yarn that's not as strong and thin as the professionals use, but it works.
