Barr wins write-in for Select Board seat in Pelham

PELHAM — Write-in candidate Jessica Gail Barr of Bray Court earned election to the Select Board at Tuesday’s town election, based on unofficial results released by the town clerk’s office.

Barr will take the position held by David Shanabrook, who didn’t run for reelection.

Incumbents whose names were on the ballot who were reelected by the 124 residents who voted include Margaret Stancer of Country Lane for a two-year School Committee position; Robert Rowell of Daniel Shays Highway for a three-year Board of Assessors position; Scott L. Barton of Harkness Road for a three-year position on the Cemetery Commission; David Hawkins of Buffam Road for a three-year position as tree warden; and Cydnie Reiman of Country Lane for a three-year term on the Community Preservation Committee.

Newcomer Rachel Figurasmith of North Valley Road won a two-year seat on the School Committee while write-in candidate Jennifer Sinding Bradbury of Arnold Road won a three-year seat on the School Committee.

James Arthur Bradbury of Arnold Road earned a five-year position on Planning Board, while incumbent moderator Daniel Robb won another one-year term, both as write-in candidates.
