Northampton man charged with possession of child pornography placed on state’s most wanted list

NORTHAMPTON — A city man charged with possession of child pornography has been added t0 the Massachusetts State Police’s Most Wanted List.

The Northampton Police Department obtained an arrest warrant last Sept. 10 charging Jude Demeis, 49, with three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of posing or exhibiting a child in the nude, according to a statement released by state police.

Demeis is white, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is highly computer proficient, an avid mountain biker, and a rally car enthusiast, according to state police.

“Demeis is aware he is wanted by law enforcement and is actively attempting to evade capture,” state police said.

He has ties to Northampton; Needham; Gilboa, New York, and the greater Syracuse, New York area, according to police. Demeis also previously had an address in New City, New York.

Two others were also added to the Most Wanted List; Mariano Pereyra Jr., who is wanted out of Wellesley for child rape; and Ingmar Robles Pojoy, who is wanted out of Lynn in connection with a fatal shooting.
