It was a great weekend for the Pioneer Valley Invitational, which featured over 50 ultimate teams in its return to the Oxbow in Northampton for the first time since 2019.

Greenfield’s Four Rivers Charter School captured the girls title on Sunday, scoring a 13-3 win over Canadian side Titane in the championship. In the boys division, Westfield (N.J.) won three one-point games on Sunday, including a 12-11 victory over Titane in the finals, to claim the championship.

Amherst finished third in the boys division, beating Arlington 11-6 in the third-place game after falling to Titane in the semifinals. The Northampton boys tied for 11th place, led by seven goals from Roan Dunkerley and six from Emile Roth. Liam Reynolds had 11 assists.

The Northampton girls team finished seventh, falling to eventual champion Four Rivers in the quarterfinal round, 9-6. Amherst wound up eighth.
