FLORENCE — The Northampton Family Fourth Celebration on Saturday will include live music, games, food vendors such as La Veracruzana and Bruiser’s BBQ, and, of course, fireworks.

The festivities will take place at Look Memorial Park beginning at 5 p.m.

Musical guests include the Florence Community Band, the Northampton High School Jazz Band, DJ Quils and The Zolla Boys.

Typical fair food such as burgers, dogs and fried dough will be sold, along with ice cream from Maple Valley Creamery of Hadley.

Fireworks will go off at dark, approximately 9:15-9:30 p.m. Look Park will close to traffic at 4 p.m. or earlier if full. There will be parking at JFK Middle School for a donation. Free parking and shuttles to Look Park will run from Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School starting at 5 p.m.

There will be new health and wellness vendors this year handing out information to support local businesses. Representatives from Florence Hearing Health Care and Strong & Healthy Smiles will be at the event, along with Daisy Acosta, a foster care recruiter from the Department of Children & Families and Sarah Getoff, a parenting counselor and psychotherapist. Robert Ross, who was involved in planning the celebration said, “Having these vendors here helps our status of being a community service.”

The rain date for the event is Sunday. For additional information, visit http://northamptonfamilyfourth.com.
