Olivi Vecellio, McKenzie Patterson double dip for Frontier field hockey in win over Smith Academy

Olivia Vecellio and McKenzie Patterson scored two goals each for the Frontier Regional field hockey team in a 4-0 home win over Smith Academy on Monday.

It was the Red Hawks’ third straight win.

Kathryn Mason and Vecellio added assists for Frontier (11-2-1, 7-0 Valley).

Taeghan Cavanaugh stopped 22 shots for the Falcons (2-11-1, 0-7).

West Springfield 0, Northampton 0 — Danielle Parent made two saves, and the Blue Devils picked up a point on the road at Clark Field.

Northampton (4-6-3) needs seven points in its final six games to qualify for the postseason.

Girls volleyball

Easthampton 3, Pioneer 0 — The Eagles swept the Panthers on the road 25-10, 25-11 and 26-24.

Autumn Pinard had 12 assists, six aces and five digs.

Sophia Deblase and Valerie Murphy both added five kills.

Samantha Sypek led the defense with 15 digs, adding six aces for Easthampton (9-3).

Turners Falls 3, Belchertown 0 —The Indians swept the Orioles 25-17 25-18 and 25-16 in Montague.

Cassidy Genereux had four kills and nine assists for the Orioles (7-8).

Ware 3, Smith Voke 1 — Marissa Rodriguez had five kills and four digs in a 25-9, 25-14, 24-26 and 25-10 home loss for the Vikings (1-11).
