The Amherst College women’s basketball team continue to be an unwelcome guest. The No. 1-ranked Mammouth extended their Division III-record road win streak to 31 games with a 55-28 win over Rhode Island College on Monday in Providence.

Amherst (14-0) led 29-18 at halftime and outscored the Anchormen, 16-3 in the third to pull away.

Cam Hendricks (nine rebounds) and Hannah Hackley each had 10 points to lead the Mammoths.

Men’s basketball

Amherst College 102, Brandeis 82 — Johnny McCarthy had 22 points, five assists and four rebounds as the road team put up a Mammoth offensive total at Red Auerbach Arena in Waltham.

Michael Riopel added 19 for Amherst (8-4) which had its biggest scoring total this season.
