HATFIELD — State Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa and state Sen. Jo Comerford will be providing information about the state Legislature and answering questions from constituents at a forum Friday evening.

The meet-and-greet event, sponsored by the Hatfield Democratic Town Committee, will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library at Smith Academy at 34 School St.

Ben Farrell, chairman of the town committee, said Sabadosa got in touch about having the forum, and suggested Comerford also be part of it.

“The event is going to be a town hall format, and I’ve asked Rep. Sabadosa and Sen. Comerford to highlight what their priorities will be in the coming legislative session,” Farrell said.

The Hatfield committee was formed last March to elect delegates and alternates for the Democratic Party Nominating Convention. Farrell said he moved to town from Easthampton, where he and his wife had been that city’s delegates to the 2017 Demcoratic Platform Convention, and discovered there was no similar Democratic committee. The committee was then organized with assistance from resident Joan Cocks.
