The major relies on accurate intel from his respective departments before he can make an informed decision.

Sometimes this information is flawed and lacks credibility, such was the case of the upper Main Street blunder. After hearing from the vast majority of downtown businesses, Mayor David Narkewicz did the right thing and corrected the problem.

This shows true character in a leader who is not afraid to say it isn’t working. There are those of you who like to criticize and berate people for making hard decisions. To those of you who fall in that category, let me say this. If you have never had to make a hard or unpopular decision, you haven’t earned the right to open your big mouth.

I tip my hat to the mayor for making those difficult choices.
