Music & Arts South Hadley: FallsFest organizers thank community, volunteers

Tuesday, August 08, 2017

FallsFest, a celebration for all South Hadley residents and visitors, was held on Saturday, July 29, to the delight of music lovers, craft enthusiasts, and kids of all ages. Organized by Music & Arts South Hadley, FallsFest was made possible by people and organizations throughout the area. So very many deserve, and have, our heartfelt thanks.

Our thanks to everyone who came to FallsFest. We saw the joy on the faces of your children and the happiness in your eyes as you enjoyed the music, the food, the activities, the crafts, and the community booths. FallsFest is for you and we thank you for coming.

This admission-free event could not occur without monetary and in-kind support from many business and individual sponsors, led by our exclusive event sponsor, E-ink. Exceptional musicians, crafters, children’s activity providers, community groups, and food vendors drew young and old alike. South Hadley’s Department of Public Works, police, schools and fire districts ensured smooth operations and everyone’s safety, and Holyoke Medical Center provided shuttle service. We are indebted to you all.

We also want to recognize and thank our many volunteers. They are neighbors and friends, high school students, retirees, town and school department employees, and local business owners and employees. South Hadley has a long, proud tradition of resident volunteers. MASH is the thankful recipient of their unfailing efforts, from board membership and event planning to all the generally thankless jobs that fall to volunteers. We are here to thank them, and thank them again. To join our wonderful group of volunteers, please let us know through musicandartssouthhadley.org.

See you next year at FallsFest!
