SOUTH HADLEY — Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding Inc. was recently honored as one of the “most elite” residential and commercial roofing contractors in the country.

GAF, a large roofing and waterproofing manufacturer in North America, selected the South Hadley company for one of its 2020 President’s Club Awards. Adam Quenneville earned the annual 2020 GAF Master Elite President’s Club Award, a title he has held as a roofing contractor for 10 years. Only 1% or 2% of roofing contractors nationwide qualify for this award, earning one, two or three stars for meeting specific criteria across high standards for performance, reliability and service.

Presidents Club Award winners are selected from an elite group of roofing contractors who are considered the best of the best by following and meeting stringent requirements.

NORTHAMPTON — The Lander-Grinspoon Academy has hired Rabbi Debra Kolodny as its new executive director. Kolodny brings 20 years of executive nonprofit leadership to the position, having served as the executive director for two national Jewish organizations, ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal and Nehirim. They also served two nonprofits in Portland, Oregon, and served in both a rabbinic and executive capacity in two congregations.

Kolodny and their wife, Brio Howard, along with their 13-year-old dog, recently moved to Amherst from Portland to be close to family and friends, to enjoy the multifaceted Jewish community, and to take advantage of the area’s recreational, intellectual and cultural richness. Having grown up in Far Rockaway, New York City, gone to undergraduate college at Cornell, attended law school in Philadelphia, and lived in Washington, D.C., for 26 years, Kolodny feels like they have found their forever home.
