The Granby girls lacrosse team celebrated two milestones during its 21-3 victory over Monson on Monday.

Senior Madison Sexton finished with five goals and four assists to surpass 100 career points.

Junior Julia Frappier scored six goals to reach 100 career tallies.

Frappier did not know she was close to the milestone entering the day. She was told during warmups that she needed six goals and didn’t think she would get it.

However, needing one goal late and getting encouragement from her teammates and coach, Frappier (three assists) scored with less than two minutes left to reach the 100-goal mark. Sexton had the assist on the play.

“It was great to share the day with my teammate Madison and the milestones we both achieved,” Frappier said. “I couldn’t have done it without my teammates.”

Gabby Walz added three goals, while Ella Laliberte added two in the victory.

Jasmine Rodrigues-Jones (two assists), Nora Bernashe, Justice Delaney, Rosalynn Vollbrecht and Ariana Klekotka each scored once. Liberty Conlin made one save.

The victory improved the Rams to 3-1. They need one more win to match last season’s win total.

“We’re hoping to keep going and make it to playoffs,” Frappier said.

Brattleboro Union 21, Northampton 5 — Elly MacDonald scored five goals and Gabby Adorno made nine saves, but the Blue Devils (0-5) fell on the road.
