The power of touch: Contact improvisation in Northampton

“everyBODYmoves,”a dance and movement festival brought longtime dancers and newcomers together in Northampton for physical improvisation and other workshops last weekend. The event was a celebration of the release of the Amherst-produced documentary “An Intimate Dance,” which focuses on the transformative power of touch and movement.

Gazette photographer Dan Little stopped by “The Physics of Improvisation” workshop led by Eugene Williams and came back with these pictures.
