I have to say that Bill Newman’s column “The day of decision nears” [Gazette, Oct. 11] is an absolute gem and a must read. His cogent, compelling, factual, and holistic column is more persuasive than anything I have read in any national publication or blog on why it is imperative to vote in November and to keep this evil thug from returning to the White House.

While Newman’s trenchant analysis is available primarily to his fellow Pioneer Valley and Gazette readers, it deserves much wider distribution.
