The Gazette recently printed a front-page story with a headline stating “Police chief: A job few want these days,” [Sept. 9]. My first response was duh! When our Democratic leaders have been demonizing and defunding your profession for the last four years, of course you’re gonna have recruiting issues!
My second response was vote accordingly. Most Democratic leaders nowadays seem to have more respect for criminals than police officers.
