A week ago, Aug. 26 , I was surprised to find in that day’s edition of the Gazette that there was no mention of the Arcadia Folklore Festival held on the previous Saturday in Easthampton. It was such a joyous event that I was surprised that there was no coverage in the paper.

I checked with the event coordinator just to be sure that I hadn’t missed it. He told me that the paper had given it great coverage before the event but none afterward. This was my first time attending this event and I was impressed by how well it was organized.

The festival attracted families from all over Massachusetts. I think Gazette readers would be interested to know this and am disappointed that there was no article about the event itself. I value my subscription to the Gazette, especially the coverage of local events, so hope you can do better in the future.
