I was perturbed when I found the 2024-25 pricing for a Northampton Transfer Station permits is $75 for the first one which is a 66% increase over the $45 cost of a permit in 2023-24 and $75 for the second one which is a 75% increase over the $40 cost in 20s3-24 or if you buy both for a total of $150, which is a 76% increase over the price of two for 2023-24.

Who in the city is setting these prices? Northampton is rapidly losing it’s “Paradise City” and becoming “How much can we get from taxpayers of Northampton, Florence and Leeds?” See how much more trash will just be tossed by the side of the road.
