As I write this letter, an armed, violent mob — instigated and cheered on by our alleged president — has invaded the U.S. Capitol, driving the Congress to flee.

In recent months, the Gazette has occasionally published letters and op-ed pieces from Trump supporters. These supporters often rail against the alleged socialism of the Democratic left, and state that the left’s programs will bring our nation to socialism and ruin. Really?

At this stage, I do not care what fantasies these people believe. Because the worst nightmares that the extremist left could possibly inflict on us do not hold a candle to a right-wing insurrectionist mob rampaging through our nation’s capitol. Their leader is someone many of you voted for this past November.

At what point are those who did going to have the decency to sit down, shut up, and admit that they were wrong?
