WORTHINGTON — Incumbents prevailed in the contested races for School Committee and Finance Committee in the annual town election.
In the race for School Committee, Anthony “Tiger” Thomas ran for one of two spots on the board, which had incumbents Alison Todd and Cai Walkowiak running for them as well.
Todd and Walkowiak won reelection with 191 and 185 votes, respectively. Thomas received 108 votes.
The other contested race on the ballot, for Finance Committee, was a closer affair, with incumbent Paul Dunlevy receiving 128 votes to challenger Amanda Spiess’ 115.
Turnout was fairly robust for a town election, with 267 votes cast out of 997 registered voters, a 27% turnout.
