HOLYOKE — City police and federal agents seized 800 pounds of marijuana from a Holyoke home on Thursday though no made no arrests.

The Holyoke Police Department’s Narcotic Investigation Bureau in conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant at a single-family home at 107 Cross Road, located between Southampton and Mountain roads. Intelligence gathered by police and federal agents detailing an extensive grow operation at the house allowed authorities to be granted a search warrant on the property, according to the Holyoke P0lice Department.

Once inside the house, authorities discovered 800 pounds of marijuana with a street value of more than $1.6 million, according to a statement from Holyoke Police.

City assessors records show that the house was purchased in May 2021 for $459,000 by Xinghaun Chen.
