High schools: Belchertown girls lacrosse stays perfect

Elise Pikul found the net six times for the Belchertown girls lacrosse team, which remained unbeaten with a 14-6 win over Chicopee at home Friday.

Erin Lucas had a hat trick and an assist, while Kelsey Reardon distributed three assists with a goal. Allison Bessette scored twice for the Orioles (7-0, 6-0 Pioneer League), and Hannah Mitus had a goal and an assist.

Kate Wrona scored. Ryann Lauzier added an assist.

Emily Sayball-Wimmer stopped seven shots.

Granby 8, Chicopee Comp 3 — Julia Frappier distributed three assists and scored a goal for the Rams, while Madison Sexton had a hat trick.

Gabby Wals, Ella Laliberte, Jasmine Rodrigues-Jones and Rosalynn Vollbrecht each had a goal for Granby (7-2).

Longmeadow 18, Northampton 1 — Elly MacDonald found the net for the Blue Devils (1-9, 0-2 Valley Wheel), and Gabby Adorno stopped seven shots.

West Springfield 13, South Hadley 6 — Hannah Bisson scored twice, while Erica Anderson, Breann Foley (assist), Grace Harrington and Siobhan McAllister each netted one apiece for the visiting Tigers (2-7).

Alyson Cote made nine saves in defeat.

Boys lacrosse

South Hadley 15, Chicopee 2 — Liam Dawson tallied five goals with two assists and three ground balls in the Tigers’ win. Mike Senecal and Hunter Borowski each had hat tricks.

Hunter Carey added a goal and two assists, while Ryan Levrault scored twice for the Tigers (3-4). Nicholas Gaston found the net. James Couture led South Hadley with five ground balls.

Anthony Cigal made three saves, and Jacey Rondeau stopped two shots.

Chicopee Comp 13, Belchertown 3 — Owen Sedlacek had a goal and an assist for the Orioles (5-3).

Tony Martell and Griffin Weiss found the net, while Jake Condon had an assist.

Baseball

Pioneer Regional 1, Hopkins Academy 0 — Andrew Ciaglo struck out six in a complete game, allowing one hit with no walks.

The Panthers scored their lone run in the second inning on a groundout.

Jack Feltovic, Liam Higgins, Noah Scanlon-Dean and Kouji Ishida singled for the Golden Hawks (7-3).

Sci-Tech 3, Gateway Regional 2 (8) — Wyatt Heeter went 4-for-4, scored a run and drove in a run for the Gators on Thursday. Matt Iacovelli singled, while Anthony Piquette scored a run for Gateway (3-5, 2-3 Tri-County North).

Ryan Orr threw a complete game, striking out five .He allowed seven hits and five walks.

Boys volleyball

Putnam 3, Belchertown 2 — Nathan Courchesne (three aces) and Nathan Wright had three kills each, and the Orioles rallied to force a fifth set in a 25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 18-25, 15-8 loss Friday.

Lucas Czarniecki distributed 11 assists. James Lawless had four kills, and Derek Guntor added three digs for Belchertown (0-12, 0-6 East).
