High schools: Amherst boys soccer beats Pope Francis; Amherst girls soccer fall to Ware

Zach Watson-Stevens scored twice as the Amherst Regional boys soccer team beat Pope Francis, 3-1, Monday in Springfield.

Jamie Park added a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes. James Serhant and Michael Camara had an assist each for Amherst.

Girls soccer

Ware 2, Amherst Regional 1 — Addison Lepak scored for the Hurricanes in the loss at home.

Field hockey

Northampton 3, Agawam 3 — Ella Moreau stopped 26 shots to preserve a draw on the road. Kendyll Wing found the net twice for the Blue Devils, while Shea Crowther scored one. Kate Sullivan had an assist.

Girls volleyball

Ware 3, Smith Vocational 0 — Yenaira Pazo had two kills and two assists in a 25-11, 25-17, 25-14 loss. Jordan Dunham pullled up four digs and added an assist and a kill. Haleigh Pensivy contributed three digs, a block and a kill.
