High Schools: Hampshire Regional boys basketball scores season-high in 81-71 triumph over Turners

The Hampshire Regional boys basketball team erupted for a season-high 81 points en route to an 81-71 win over Turners Falls in Westhampton on Friday night.
Braylon Jarrett splashed six 3-pointers to pace Hampshire’s offense, as his 22 points were a game high and one short of his season high. Joining Jarrett in double figures, Jack Wresen (13), Vynce Carr (13) and Joe Moro (10) all had big days for the Raiders. Koleton Kolodziej chipped in nine points while Isiah Isa added seven.
Jackson Cogswell led Turners Falls with a team-high 18 points.
Hampshire led 37-23 before a 44-point second half secured it the victory. The Raiders host Lee on Tuesday at 7 p.m. looking for a third consecutive win.
Smith Voc 68, Veritas Prep 59 — Dom Sanchez ripped off a team-high 28 points as the Vikings out-paced a pesky Veritas team in a high-scoring win on Friday night.
Harrison Roberts and Jahir Sanchez each scored 13 for Smith Vocational while Joshua Cole chipped in eight.
South Hadley 73, Renaissance 47 — The Loughrey brothers took over Friday night’s game, as Jack Loughrey poured in a game-high 31 points and his brother Tim tossed in 18 to lead the Tigers to a blowout win over Renaissance.
Noah Hambley added 16 for South Hadley, who outscored Renaissance 17-2 in the first quarter.

Mahar outscored Hopkins 24-6 in the third quarter.
Girls basketball
Belchertown 61, Palmer 29 — Make it three wins in a row for the Orioles, as 19 points from Chloe LaRoche and a 28-10 second-half disparity propelled them past Palmer.
Aubrey Klingensmith (13) and Morghan Litz (12) joined LaRoche in double figures for Belchertown.
Pathfinder 42, Smith Academy 34 — Anna Scagel scored a team-high nine points for the Falcons, but it wasn’t enough to fend off a furious Pathfinder second-half run.
Caitlin Graves and Vivian Higuera each scored six points for Smith Academy, who led 19-16 at halftime.
Springfield Central 66, Holyoke 32 — Kiara Perez scored a team-high 15 points in the Purple Knights’ home loss to Central.
Genesis Rivera tossed in six points for Holyoke as well.
